Lakeland Linder Regional Airport is ideally located in the center of one of the most dynamic growth corridors in the Southeast. Situated in the heart of Florida along the I-4 corridor LAL is midway between Tampa and Orlando, with easy access to I-4 via the Polk Parkway. Lakeland Intermodal Center 

Lakeland Linder Regional Airport is currently developing 42 acres in the northwest quadrant of the airport for air cargo and MRO activities. This new intermodal center will provide an international gateway for shipment of products throughout the United States and the World. In addition to air cargo activities the airport is actively seeking MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) companies looking for easy access to the Florida market. The new center will be capable of servicing aircraft up-to and including the Boeing 777. Construction of the connecting taxiway is expected to commence in August 2017 with construction of the apron starting Winter 2017. Each hangar site will be pad ready with electric, water, and sewer services ready for developers to begin construction.
