NAVIGATIONAL INFORMATION

  • LAL VOR located on the Airfield
  • ILS, VOR and GPS Approaches available

AIRPORT RESCUE & FIREFIGHTING SERVICES (ARFF)

The Lakeland Airport is certified under CFR Part 139 as a class 4 Airport, with an ARFF Index A.  Lakeland’s Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Station #7, became operational on June 4, 2007.  It is manned 24 hours a day by City of Lakeland Firefighters.

The ARFF station provides  immediate emergency response to Aircraft incidents and accidents on the airfield as well as response to other emergencies such as hazardous incidents or other life-threatening situations.  The ARFF station has significantly enhanced the safety of operators on the Airport.
